
Ryan Whyte Maloney was raised in Traverse City, Michigan. He began playing the guitar, violin, cello, and drums at age 9, and by 16 he recorded his 1st album. Growing up on rock ‘n roll and country music he developed a strong diverse love for music.
In 2014 he appeared on NBC’s “The Voice.” His audition song “Lights” was a 4-chair turn and found himself on Team Blake. He made it to Team Blake’s Top 5 and recorded four hit singles from the voice on UMG Records including “Lights” by Journey, Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” “Easy” by Rascal Flatts, and “Second Chance” by Shinedown.
He’s shared the stage with: Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Shakira, Usher, Adam Lavine, Alabama, One Republic, Coldplay, Robin Thicke, Ed Sheeran, Justin Moore, Thomas Rhett, Easton Corbin, Hunter Hayes, Brett Eldridge, Thompson Square, Parmalee, Clay Walker, Gloriana, Scotty McCreery, John Popper (Blues Traveler), Tyler Farr, Joel Krauss, Leah Turner, Diamond Rio, Elvis Monroe, Flava Flav, Lee Brice, Randy Houser, Jimmy Wayne, Love and Theft, Jason Michael Carroll, Lone Star, and Saliva Craig Morgan.
